I'm Jake — an anthropology grad, Peace Corps alum, and lifelong wanderer who has lived on six of the seven continents. I've shoveled cement in Romania, taught English in Albania, farmed in Peru, studied Mandarin on scholarship in Taiwan, and played guitar in hotel lobbies, hostels, and street corners from Istanbul to Ho Chi Minh City.
Today I'm a Program Manager at Catholic Charities of the North West Coast (CCNWC), leading two teams that matter: Food Access — connecting communities to the nutrition they need — and Disaster Preparedness, building the systems and relationships that hold people together when everything goes sideways.
Off the clock, I'm an insatiable learner with one eye fixed on the Bay Area's AI and tech explosion. I believe the same curiosity that once drove me across six continents is the best tool for navigating a world changing this fast — and I'm here for all of it. I believe we must find a way to leverage this tech for good, and while good is subjective and a spectrum, the more voices we have the better.
